Welcome to the SG Blog Hop for June, if this is your first stop, you might like to start at the Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop through each link. Here is the list in case you get lost

Scrapbook Generation blog - http://scrapbookgeneration.blogspot.com/

Each blog will share a project using one of the SG sketches as a starting point. You can find the sketches in their books and downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Before discovering SG sketches,  I would often struggles with my layouts. I started scrapping in 2001, and   I hardly have many layouts from that time until my daughter was born in 2008 . Most of them were not finished. This one is one example i created in 2004 that i never finished.  I wasn't happy with it.. I decide to work on this and do a redo..
this is my sweet nephew who is now 10. oh, mine where did the time go?

here is the before:

Here is the after:

I use sketches for scrapbook, one page sketches, volume one, page 29 (if you happen to have the book). The supplies I used to create this page are: Martha Stewart photo corner punch, stamping up notebook punch, Karen Foster Painted ABC's sticker, Basic Grey Alpha stickers, 123 washi tape, Woodware craft collection star punch, Echo Park dots and stripes paper (yellow), Journal cards from stash, American Crafts the goods swing set, Jillbean Soup die cuts-little yellow stars and black/white twine.  I just love how this layout turn out..

Next on the hop is Tessa - http://www.scrapwithtessa.blogspot.com/ , leave a comment on each blog and one lucky commenter will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store. They are jam packed with sketches and ideas both within the theme and ideas that are really useful on on-themed layouts, too.  The winner will be draw on June 10th, so you have one week to leave a comment. thank so much for visiting.. until next time..

While your subject is so cute ...any LO would be cute with him in it...the SG sketch is just more polished and tight and pulled together. GREAT work!TFS

I love the redo!!! It's absolutely amazing. I also have that probelm. I really don't like my layouts before the SG sketches. I just think, "Hmmm... it's ok, but that's not what I pictured in my head..." I do, however, love to look through all my pages and see how I've changed and progressed in my style. You did such a wonderful job with this layout and I love your selection of paper. Amazing job!!

WOW SURE a big difference between your original work and "now" work! Many people do not realize what sketches can do for them!

Love your "current" layout! Love that you added the banners. Liking that you used the "torn paper" border punch for your paper in the back.... The boy in the picture is adorable!
